So we need to identify influencers in the organisation, and then get them to infuence virally? The first question is how to idetnitfuy them, but more importantly how do we get them to convey the "infection" as we would like the organisation to hear it. Arent influencers individual, how do we influence them?

I believe there is a great opportunity to charge for aggregated content across multiple platforms and creating the opportunity for people to create personalised environments, created, run and facilitated by the group. In these environments they would receive this content, whether it be magazine articles, tools, newspaper content, or TV programs. It will be a centralised environment in which you receive all of the content you really want, and would most certainly hold appeal. A further bonus is that it could be made available via multiple platforms - computer, IPads, television and mobile - Mark Botha, mark@spacemail.co.za

iPad idea: `create a video and sound studio within Media24 for all the division to be able to create online content on the go. By creating our own studio, we will reduce costs in the long run and more importantly, speed up the turn around time of getting video blogs or articles online or onto apps. Decide on one behaviour that focuses all staff on Innovation per month, e.g. learn how to use a any new device, subscribe to any trends newsletter etc. Milton Sakalis

iPad competition idea: we need to create a mobile App for school newsletters. Most schools send out a school newsletter every week, some in printed format and others in email. If we have a mobile App that talks to parents on a weekly basis, we can start promoting our own products or sell advertising. Parents pay a disproportionate amount of money on their kids, so this App should sell well. Seraj Toefy. Seraj.Toefy@touchline.co.za

Which competitor worries you most? Why, and what is your response?

Doesn't it make sense that we could earn money if we develop the right iPad application? I would assume that the target market is the higher LSMs for the iPad, which is prime opportunity both for garnering advertising clients, and charging premium fees for origina content. (Not news/analysis necessarily, but more lifestyle applications, e.g. Food24 and Channel24.com? Are we looking into developing these iPad apps for revenue-generation too? A Sarie Credit Card: Sarie readers have a very high level of engagement with the brand and there is an incredibly high level of trust from consumers. The card is managed by a financial institution and is purely a credit card - not a loyalty card. This means great brand extension. No work for the team. (not even sure if this is a possibility in terms of legalities etc...) Linked to credit card - rewards points, roadside assistance, travel advice and discounts, financial advice. All these value adds are then associated with the brand and not with the financial institution. Clare Huisamen

iPad idea:Each of the handset manufactures have created their own market place for apps applicable to their own OS. The problem with this is of course that it's automatically exclusionary of large parts of the total mobile market. Our individual brand focuses have also tempted us to look harder at individual apps when perhaps there is an opportunity to own an app market. The obvious analogy is the difference between being the fruit or the tree. My suggestion is that we use our existing brands to build a single app store which offers apps that are operating system agnostic. Apps for all our brands as well as additional non-brand specific apps should be available in the store.   There are many app developers in SA who already have some great products and ideas. We should incentives these developers to post apps into our store with a large cash prize for the most popular app - getting economies of scale from the app development market without the  bearing the total cost of all the apps developed

Suggestion: let's take the Thought24 concept of a 24 hour opportunity for anybody to work with anybody else across the whole business, so long as it's focused on the needs of Media24 and is presented back to the business. Great way to stimulate creativity and idea sharing (Shelagh G)
