Have you ever been to a rock concert or a Garth Brook’s show, maybe a book signing by Stephen King or Tom Clancy, or by chance waiting for Tom Cruise to emerge from a local restaurant? Preferably not, however, if you were, you no doubt would witness uninhibited adoration being cast upon this world’s stars by countless fans of all ages.  At music concerts people sing with boisterous emotion, sway with the melody, clap to the beat and raise their hands, jump and shout praise to their favorite singer.  At book signings fans wait nervously in line for hours, just to spend only a minute with someone they admire and idolize, all for an autograph and a handshake.  I’m sure you’ve seen movie stars trying to make it through a crowd of admirers reaching out to hug, kiss or even just to touch their hero, many crying, shaking or even fainting with the excitement.  This is how humans act in a close encounter with someone they are completely devoted and infatuated with.  These celebrities have never as much as given these people a drive or bought them dinner, yet they are totally enraptured by them.
Now it appears to me, this type of affection should be reserved only for someone who has done so much for you, it completely changes your whole life, to the point of saving your soul.  If there existed someone like this, should it not be incumbent on us to exalt Him in at least an equal manner?
I would imagine almost everyone reading this article believes his or her salvation is thanks to a loving heavenly Father, who sent His only begotten son to die in our stead.  Why then do we not praise Him the way the world does its gods?  Why do we not worship Him the way He has told us to?  Are we too shy to show others what He means to us or are we ashamed to express our emotions, lest others might disapprove?  Is it scriptural to “let loose” in service?  Would it be wrong to say many of us should “lighten up a bit”?

  • Hey, there guys

I have just uploaded a video to my The Truth, the Way and the light group, and I would rally like you to view it. It deals with our reluctance to carry out The Great Commission that Jesus Himself gave to the Church. Please add your comments, I'd like to hear from you.

Tried to attach the video to this comment, but I keep on getting errors, so here is the direct link: http://www.blueworld.co.za/videos/view.aspx?id=4051

    Blessings to you all!

  • Hey, friends, you guys are awfully quiet out there in PC land!

I have posted a blog with the title “Jesus is our Elder Brother and He is not ashamed to call us brethren”

This is part of my Bible School practical, so it assumes that the reader already has a working knowledge of the fundamentals of our faith.

It is my prayer that all of you be blessed with the knowledge that we have an Elder brother looking out for us!

    Blessings to you all.

  • On a lighter vein:

One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man and after the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this, let's say we have a man making contest." To which the scientist replied, "OK, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God just looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

  • SHALOM ALL. Hey Fbeetge, you really put it out there on a Monday morning hey. So many topics around this very essential idea. 1) Don't forget about the Log in our own eye when picking @ a splinter in some1 else eye. 2) Do we rebuke those that are not in Christ ? (To stay away from conflict?) 3) We rebuke those in Christ first in private, if no result then bring another person in, no result still, then well we know what next don't we? --- That all i got off the top. Hope on the rite TOPIC here? LOL

  • Hi again, all. O.K, so not one of you have a deceased relative that was not saved before he/she died, and you never wondered whether one could intercede for that person after his/her death. New topic: A very good friend of mine, Moratehi, asked the following question: “ Greetings MAN OF GOD IN JESUS NAME.the word of GOD says we should rebuke one another, and Paul said to TIMOTHY that "those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest may fear".Sometimes it is hard to me to do so because others think that you judge them.please help me.” . What do YOU think? - This was such an important question that I decided NOT to answer him by email, but rather post the answer as a blog in this group. While I am writing that teaching, what is your opinion? Come on, let us know that you are still alive out there!!!

  • Here is a topic that should stir up a live debate: (As with all of my topics, we're not interested in your own opinion or Church doctrines, but ONLY that which can be found in the Bible.) - Question: Can we pray for (on behalf of) the dead? In other words, can people in Hades still be saved, or have they already been damned for all eternity? - Secondary question: Do you find the words "Eternity" or" For Ever and Ever" in the original scriptures? Happy hunting!!!
