Name: Evolution. Old-Age Earth. IT'S A HOAX!
Category: Common Interests - Religion & Spirituality
Type: This group is open and anyone is free to join and invite friends.
About: 20 billion years ago there was nothing. Nothing exploded. For 4 billion years the earth absorbed oxygen that didn't exist. It rained on the rocks. The rocks turned to soup. The soup turned to fish, then amphibians, reptiles, mammals and now here we are, freshly evolved from monkeys. While we're at it, Hansel and Gretel really did live and they really did visit a house made of candy...

Yes folks. The theories of evolution and old-age-earth go hand in hand together. But as stupid as it is, it is DANGEROUS. We are taught it from young, at school, and are told it is the truth, it is a fact. But to this day there is NOT ONE piece of scientifically proven evidence to support evolution or the old-age-earth.

The main goal of those big-wigs supporting evolution is to ignore the presence of God. In addition to the theory destroying people's faith in God - 75% of Christians going to pro-evolution universities in the USA end up losing their faith - it is dangerous. Evolution is responsible for an upsurge of racism; it is solely responsible for communism, marxism and nazism. Millions of people have died because a leader referred to Charles Darwin and his idiotic and racist ideology.

In contrast, the Bible tells us that the earth was made by God in 6 literal 24-hour days, around 6000 years ago. There was a flood 4400 years ago that changed the world completely. The Bible refers to dinosaurs but calls them dragons, leviathans and behemoths - remember the word "dinosaur" was made up in the 19th century and the proper English-language Bible is from 1611. The Biblical account can be proven by both many scientific facts, as well as logic.

The purpose of the group is to bring Christians together to discuss issues relating to dealing with evolution; the indoctrination has affected many Christians so here we'll get that fixed up; also to invite those who believe in
the religion of Evolution and Old-Age-Earth to pose questions as to why I, and many Christians, have known the answer of how we came to be for thousands of years while the non-believers are still searching for answers.

Any comments are welcome and there are no taboos with this topic, but remember this is a Christian discussion so any comments containing swearing or blasphemy will be removed.

  • Its ironic that the superstitious would claim that science is an attack on their superstitions and strange irrational believes.
I could argue that teaching children religion, especially Christianity (or any religion sharing the old testament), could be seen as child abuse.
Read the old testament; The archaic Hebrew god is a racist, homophobic, chauvinist who promotes incest, genocide, slavery, rape. He is a bully ready to wage war on anyone and can have a raging fit at the drop of a penny with a temper of a three year old brat. He is insecure, suffer of jealousy, a control freak, inconsistent and most of all illiterate.

My response to “the indoctrination has affected many Christians so here we'll get that fixed up”
There is no such thing. The only reason Christians may feel threatened by evolution and science is because it contradicts, with solid evidence, what they believe in.

My response to “why I, and many Christians, have known the answer of how we came to be for thousands of years while the non-believers are still searching for answers.”.
You don’t know the answer or anything in the context of the statement. Rather you believe, using only blind faith, in a certain distorted reality.
Yes we are still searching for answers. Whenever we find something we can’t explain, rather than saying god-done-it, we use scientific methods to find the answer. If it were not for this we would still be saying; What cause lightning? God-done-it. What cause milk to go sour? God-done-it. Why does it rain? God-done-it.
The ignorance as a prerequisite for religious fundamentalism is mind blowing.

  • I guess the creationists just don't have a case

  • Using Dendrochronology* as a dating method, (and a calibration method for radiometric (carbon) dating) there are trees older than your universe (6000 years)

  • Written above: "n contrast, the Bible tells us that the earth was made by God in 6 literal 24-hour days, around 6000 years ago. There was a flood 4400 years ago that changed the world "

Firstly there is recorded history older than 6000 years. But let's look at the flood. God thought that people (that He made) were wicked. So He decided to murder, destroy, drown everything (including what was not wicked) except for a chosen few. Why destroy a mouse family or snails or anything not human if the humans were wicked? Mysterious.. Especially considering that God made it in the first place.

Let's look at the ark. The fossil record shows that there were lots of animals about that are now extinct. All those animals must have gone on the ark. (remember according to the Bible these extra animals couldn't have lived and gone extinct millions of years earlier, there was no "millions of years earlier") But let's be conservative with the calculation. Let's not count the more than 90% of life that had lived and gone extinct as we well know millions of years earlier. Noah would have needed more than a thousand arks to accommodate all the males and females of all animals of the time. Go to any medium sized zoo to find out about the logistics keeping and feeding animals for a week, let alone 40 days. Furthermore, did Noah have polar bears on the ark? Did he have to go and get them or did they get there themselves. How about penguins? Straight from the arctic. What about kangaroos? Endemic animals from North and South America? Australia?

Then after the flood, Noah would have relocated the animals again. Also remember all the animals of the fossil record that are now extinct? Those we didn't take into consideration in an attempt to fit all the animals into the ark. Those that make up more than 90% (actually far more than 90%) of animals that walked the earth; What happened to them? Where are they today? They should have been on the ark according to the Bible.

There is also not enough water on earth to flood the highest mountain (Everest 8848m above sea level) according to the Bible. Not even enough to flood the highest mountains in Mesopotamia.
There is no evidence of a flood bigger than the normal floods that happened over the years. It should be noted that these normal floods left evidence after, and long before this fabled flood, even longer than 6000 years ago. Even much longer ago.

It is sad that there are still people around that live by archaic and outdated science and superstition of the Hebrew people.

Google the epic of Gilgamesh predating the Biblical Flood.

Are you proposing that any scientist doing any research, without his Bible open and without his eyes cast above, has an agenda to "ignore the presence of God"?

Would you only accept science if the scientist believes in your god?

Would you therefore accept that Islamic scientists might have a different value for the force (acceleration actually) of gravity?

Or do you propose only one scientist; One with the Bible (which version?) open on his/her lap, not needing evidence? And that the others are all out to "destroying people's faith in God"

I find that very small minded. What YOU are doing is "DANGEROUS"

Go and read the Old Testament. Your god is guilty to all and more crimes. Religion is historically responsible for more wars than any other reason.
Evolution is not an ideology, it does not tell people how to behave. It is not a religion. It doesn't require faith. It is just a scientific finding/explanation. It so happens that it contradicts your religion. Sorry.

Not at all. The Bible is riddled with scientific faults.(and I'm prepared to name some, just ask me) The Biblical account can not be proven. (and is often not even falsifiable) It is not scientific and not logical. It is based on the mythology of a people with very limited understanding of science

  • I find the following ironic:
    Name: Evolution. Old-Age Earth. IT'S A HOAX!
Category: Common Interests - Religion & Spirituality
The claim in the name suggests that the category should be science. Least of all Religion & Spirituality, both requiring no evidence at all.
All of evolution and geological history you refer to is falsifiable. That means you can prove it wrong. For example to prove that humans and dinosaurs roamed the earth together, all you need is one human fossil in the same (or before) geological strata as the dinosaurs. Just one. So far, there is none. In fact there were no large mammals (yet) at all.
Yet you go and use the Bible as evidence. Religion and faith is not falsifiable by default.
So to sum it up: You attempt to falsify something that is in fact falsifiable, using a tool that is not falsifiable. That is bad logic, bad science and somewhat circular.
Your world is one where the courts and police pray to decide who is guilty. Your world is one where engineers need not have maths as a subject but rather Bible study. Your world is one where Gay people are stoned and women have no rights, where daughters may be sold and plants existed before sunlight.

    As a side note:
God is not falsifiable. You can not disprove an invisible, unprovable, supernatural being. That makes God such bad science that I don't have to disprove him, rather you have to prove that He exist.
In the same way I can't disprove the existence of invisible pink flying tigers living in Zambia.

Stick to faith and don't mix it with science. The methods are not compatible.
    Looking forward to discussion.
