Three of the X-Factor USA stars have been fired from the talent show. Judges Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones are leaving the show as show boss Simon Cowell has said that he would like to take the show into a different direction. Cowell has only guaranteed judge and music producer LA Reed a spot on next year's panel.
While a Fox spokesperson confirmed the departure of both Steve - whose presenting style on the show was slammed by one critic as "utterly irrelevant" - and Nicole, he could not comment on Paula's rumoured departure from the series.
Welsh host Steve Jones tweeted that "I wont be hosting next seasons X Factor which is a shame but I cant complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Nicole is reportedly keen to leave the series so she can dedicate more time to her music career.
