In these trying times, it seems there more modernised the world becomes, the more trying it is for people to retain a perfect conscience. The vastnesses of temptations in these times were probably inconceivable to the minds of former generations. It is clear that the majority of mankind seeks the “good life” at any expense; without remorse of dubious characteristics, and totally neglecting the love that was lodged by God within mankind from the beginning.
From corrupt leaders occupying government positions, to fraudulent personnel in private institutions, even unto the common thug lurking in the shadows of street corners to pounce on unsuspecting victims; it is evident that the nature of mankind has transformed from a civilised and harmonious form to one of wickedness and violence. The current paramour is ruthless and incredibly evil, and is expanding exponentially. The lust of vanity has turned human beings - one against another, and there is no end to the cruelty human beings inflict on each other, or so it seems.
Because of bias interests and ambitions, or whatever the reasons may be; many people willingly chose to ignore the evil in mankind. The mind has imposed blindness upon the eye. Some people have conjured the courage to blame God Almighty for the unrighteousness we see in the world. But I, after having discarded the former paramour which was wicked in his ways; have become a patriot of righteousness through Jesus Christ. Thus I cannot bear witnessing evil-wickedness being perpetuated in our societies. Sadly, the most of us, and especially the youth, have been desensitised. Wickedness is gradually becoming a norm, and God no longer intimidates us. May God’s mercy and grace be upon us all. How did we reach this point, a point where even the most innocent seeming of faces can possess unfathomable evil, why do we lurk to advance on the unsuspecting with the most wicked of intents?
Children killing and raping each other in schools; an occurrence the media ignores, instead, our throats are stuffed with amusement and propaganda. The subliminal message is that we can live however we chose without being subjected to scrutiny. If one was living on an island then the aforementioned would apply. But societies must be subjected to examination, and all wickedness therein must be uprooted and discarded.
Deceit and vanity is the order of the modern life, the cries of the meek and upright seem to go unheard, and the unjust laugh and scorn righteousness. But let it be known to all; a higher power exists, and the evil man shall not mockingly grin forever.
Even I was not born in to righteousness; I once lived life according my own understanding. But I now know that I can not dwell in the flesh forever, like the memories and strength of elderly people; the flesh will at some stage be no more. So why do we seek and lust after things which are of no significance, why do we despise spirituality and the love of God? I’ve decided to flee from this world of vanities; to align myself with my creator and understand the true purpose of my life. I pray that all shall embrace righteousness and forsake evil.
May God, Christ keep and bless you.
