Miss Limpopo Teen helps Autism Centre
I, Miss Limpopo Teen 2008 Katryn Barwise, recently visited Tsoga o itirele Mahlasedi Autism Foundation” with Karabo, the young singer from Lebowakgomo who has a dream. A dream to build a new centre for Autistic children in Lebowakgomo. My motto in life is Believe in your dreams and reach for the stars. A dream with a date attached to it is a goal and when you aim at the goal it becomes a challenge and when you beat the challenge , the reward is success.
Karabo has a dream. He wants to build a new centre for 106 Autism and Disabled children in a very poor part of South Africa. His story touched my heart but when I visited the centre and saw the love of the people who care for the children and the sacrifices that they make, it is only then that I knew I want to get involved to help Karabo reach his dream.
I want to ask every businessman in Limpopo Province to help and assist us to reach this goal. We need building material and furniture for the centre. Karabo will open an account at Price Waterhouse Coopers , where funds can be donated to. We need an Architect to design a building that will be suitable for the children, but also very cost effective to build. We need the prayers of all the Christians that God will bless the Centre and his inhabitants, and that the building part of the project will run quickly and smoothly. We need Local and Provincial Government to join us in the fight against poverty. When the Centre is build, we need `Universities, professional researchers to come and assist the children at the centre. to
"Whatever you do, try to make tomorrow just a little bit better than today,. "And that's what my vision, my hope and all of our hopes and visions are for this treatment and diagnostic center is -- to make life here in Lebowakgomo for families with a child with autism just a little bit better than it was before."
