Africas position in the globe

I recently had many African head of states declaring that we are in a recession and that as a result, many multinational corporations will be retrenching people. After hearing this, i wondered if the people to be retrenched know what caused the recession and if they knew how their lives are put in jeopardy by governments that give utmost power to companies and do all they can to protect them. But of course, those who are likely to be retrenched are your semi collar workers, those who do the "dirty job" of extracting minerals from the ground and work on BMW, VW plants to supply us with the cars we drive are unlikely to know about the causes. So what this means is that we who are conscious of the economic system we are living under, have 2 start advocating for a more regulated, people driven (not profit driven), and more egalitarian economic system. By this i mean that governments have 2 start setting "the rules of the game" and not compromise tis sovereignty for the sake of profits. Currently, South Africa has emerged as one of the richest countries but it has one of the most deplorable high rates of poverty in the world. So the evils which were witnessed under apartheid in South Africa will persist and are in fact continuing, the difference is that black people are part of the causes. Money can be evil irrespective of who posseses it.
Africa and the rest of the developing countries will continue lagging behind, unless they change their stance on wanting to be like America and the rest of the European countries. The foundations on which America was built made it possible for it to be what it is today, it was built on peoples blood, at the expense of the natural environment, and above all, it was built at the expense of the working class. Im not advocating for a authoritarian, totalitarian, monarchy and all sort of obnoxious governments, but what im advocating for is that "governments must be in the commanding heights of the economy".
