| Band Description |
Sonic Candy expanded the St. Louis music scene early in 2010 and has become a unique and popular fixture in the metro area's local music landscape. With an unexpected blend of rock, pop rock, punk, and the occasional acoustic ballad, Sonic Candy has made an impressive mark on fans and first time listeners. After playing the Pop's Local Stage at Pointfest 26 (the massive outdoor rock festival hosted by 105.7 The Point), they went on to open the next all day music event as the 2010 Battle for Pointfest 27 Local Show Winners. With their first single "Trigger" in regular rotation on The Point's Local Show on Sunday nights, they are ready to take on a mid-region tour in the 2011 spring/summer months to promote their self-titled debut album. Featuring the talents of Greg Dunn and Jamil Al-Aseeri on lead guitars, Terry Moses on bass guitar, Matt Zulpo on drums, and Christi Horton singing lead vocals, Sonic Candy's blend of intricate guitar harmonies, mesmeric rhythms, powerful lyrics, and a dynamic live show will leave you with a new perspective on St. Louis rock and give rise to a new local music fan.
