SLUG

Band Description	Slug is the psytrance project of Liam Gibbs, an electronic music producer from Cape Town, South Africa. The Slug sound is powerful fusion of psytrance styles, offering a great cross-over between the twisted beats of the night, and the blissfull melodies of a daytime dancefloor. Liam is also one half of the duo “Pitch Hikers” and co-owner of the Nexus Media record label. Settling in Cape Town in the late 90s where the outdoor party scene was blooming, DJing soon followed. But, inspired by international producers coming to blast Cape Town dancefloors such as Etnica, Dino Psaras, Joti Sidhu, Koxbox, the Flying Rhino crew and others, he was inspired (more like blown away!) and had to begin producing for himself. So Liam disappeared into the studio, and the Slug project was born ... This unique sound began to catch the attention of psy lovers - first at home in the Cape Town scene - and then worldwide. Since the release of his debut album in 2004, Liam has played in South Africa, Japan, Brasil, Australia, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The UK, Israel and Canada. In the process he has generated a dedicated following, and released over 80 tracks across various albums and projects! Teaming up with respected producer Shift both to produce and release music, he is also a co-owner of the Nexus Media record label, which has released the some of the cream of South African and international psytrance producers over the last few years, as well as being home to their acclaimed "Pitch Hikers" project. Now, in 2009, Slug teams up with Barcelona-based Nutek Records for an extra special 4th album release: expect some hot collaborations with exciting artists, and a healthy dose of high tech Sluggy originals!

So die nuus is nog nie uit nie maar kom ek deel met julle voor enige ander weet. Sewende Sintuig het opgetree vir Innovation Records vir n kontrak wat enige groep voor droom en hoop. Die aand was vol vibes en die musiek het gevloei soos water deur jou ore.. Die goeie nuus van die aand.. Ons is ge eerd om te se dat ons toe gesign is deur Innovation Records!!!!
