Mari Bosman is a 23-year old artist, currently situated in Stellenbosch. She started her career at the tender age of 18, playing acoustic sets at local restaurants and small theatres.
At the age of 21 she won the category for ‘best original music’ in the 5fm / CokeFest Podcasting Competition and one of her songs were played on the big screen at MyCokeFest 2007.
After forming a full band in 2007, Mari has been playing at various venues and festivals.

Also in 2007, she recorded her first single ‘Londen’, which was followed by the production of a music video for the track, aired on DSTV Channel MK89 from early 2008. The video is currently still playing regularly.
Mari recently progressed through the first round of the Maties / Tygerberg Idols and is currently one of the Top 15 finalists – The next round is in August.
She has recently been working with world-renowned electronic music producer Chris Hoy (DJ SHIFT), giving her latest two tracks (‘Alleterasie’ and ‘Win You Over’) an interesting electronic feeling. Listen to these tracks and more here.
Mari writes and composes all of her music herself. Production and shows are usually 50 / 50 in terms of English and Afrikaans, ranging from Rock to Pop to Electronic.
Mari is planning on recording her debut album in August, following a set of shows and a tour in December.
She is currently an independent artist.
