Time for some competition between the crowd and Hey!! Let's Burn Paris...Who will be crazier and rock out the hardest? Coming from different areas of Johannesburg, South Africa, all with various influences H!!LBP definitely manages to bring the audience to life! From beautiful Melodies and heart stopping riffs, the guitarists and bassist always seem to leave you in awe (and hopefully not in pain...just don't stand too close)! Vocals with a wide range of growls and screams that mesh perfectly with the powerful clear singing voice and beats from the drummer, making the most of rhyme and rhythm as a pair! This Melodic-Post Hardcore Screamo band with major ambition and love for music will without doubt have you falling in love with them and coming back for more!
We all started playing many years ago in many other bands but Hey!!Let's Burn Paris have gone through a few band members to finally finding their younglings wondering astray this earthly planet. Our band had found its permanent members in a mathematic genius, IT professional, iPod repairman and sweat shop worker, JP (guitar); an Australian Greek super Mario, Dale (bass/back vocals); a cute and chubby Portuguese Jamie Oliver with quick fingers, Nick (guitar); an Italian stallion, Ramone (main vocals) and an angel with the voice of a diva and the drumming power of a saint, Claudio (drums/clear vocals)!!
Our diverse influences in our music and in our personalities and attitudes give us a sound that not many South-African bands have. We started off with an emo/screamo feel, however have moved to a heavier, more powerful, post hardcore sound! We have played many shows and shared the stage with some favorite South-African underground and mainstream rock bands such as: The Dead Will Tell; Facing The Gallows; Fear of Falling; Knave; We Shall Embrace; Your Name In Neon; 16Stitch; Agro; Chromium; Fire Like You; Wake To Wonder; Pestroy; Inersha; My Epic; Go! Go! Bronco; Autumn Sun; Enmity (CT) and tons more!!!!!! We have also been blessed with the opportunity to play with American post-hardcore band Haste The Day. H!!LBP is a band that strives on rocking the crap out of every show. Dale has even slammed JP in the head and bled all over his equipment but still carried on playing. Our music is influenced by a vast number of bands which helps us in creating music with various influences that give us the H!!LBP sound. Our sound is heavily influenced by post hardcore bands such as Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Other bands such as Atreyu, As I Lay Dying, Nato, A Skylit Drive, Killswitch Engage, Alesana, Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Scary Kids Scarring Kids, Haste The Day and Saosin are huge influences as well.
We love playing shows, making friends, partying, going on picnics, eating cake, playing our instruments, watching Mythbusters and Miami Ink and just being a band.....no wait, friends....no wait, A FAMILY!!!!!! And if we're friends with you, then you're apart of the H!!LBP FAMILY :D |
